Although the congregation is small in numbers, Dingletown Community Church focuses on local outreach. We are a major supporter of Neighbor to Neighbor, a local agency that provides food and clothing for those in need. On the first Sunday of each month, we collect non-perishable food and funds. Clothing is also collected and delivered to Neighbor to Neighbor on an on-going basis. We also contribute to Greenwich Adult Day Care, AmeriCares, Children International, Greenwich Chaplaincy, Kids in Crisis, Greenwich Teen Center, Feed the Children, Meals-on-Wheels, Greenwich Emergency Medical Services, and Call-A-Ride. At Christmas time we have a mitten, glove and scarf tree. The items are delivered to the Dept. of Children and Family Services. .
The church also supports select outreach in other communities around the world.
Several years ago we "adopted" a family in Mississippi who has five children, three adults, and three babies. Boxes of household goods, clothing, food, school supplies and gifts are packed up (usually as a Sunday school project) and sent to them.
The children also support a young boy, Carlos in Honduras.
